What is Voluma?

Voluma, or Juvéderm Voluma XC, is a product within the Juvéderm family of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers. It is intended to address volume loss in the cheek area for patients 21 and older. The product is formulated using Juvéderm’s patented Vycross technology, allowing for a firm yet flexible consistency with improved longevity. 

Uses for Juvéderm Voluma

Juvéderm Voluma was designed to treat age-related volume loss in the cheeks. This volume loss typically occurs due to lack of collagen and elastin in the skin as well as fat redistribution as a result of the natural aging process. In addition to restoring volume in the cheek area, Voluma can also be used in the chin. By injecting Voluma in the chin, patients can enjoy an enhanced and more flattering profile without implants or other invasive procedures. 

Juvéderm Voluma Results 

Juvéderm Voluma results are immediately noticeable, though patients will typically experience some minor and temporary swelling. Final results are seen as soon as swelling dissipates, which should occur after 24 hours at most. On average, Voluma results last up to two years in the cheeks and one year in the chin.
