What is Belotero?

Belotero is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler. It was originally designed to treat nasolabial folds, but the Belotero line of products has since expanded to include several options designed for different treatment areas. Each product has a varying consistency to best treat the intended area or type of wrinkle. Belotero products include:

• Belotero Balance
• Belotero Soft
• Belotero Intense 
• Belotero Volume 

Uses for Belotero 

Belotero is intended for wrinkles, fine lines and volume loss as a result of aging. The products can be used in areas including the cheeks, lips, chin or forehead. Some uses for Belotero can include:

• Nasolabial folds
• Lines and wrinkles near the eyes, nose or mouth
• Under-eye bags or hollows
• Forehead wrinkles
• Volume loss in the cheeks
• Jawline contouring
• Lip plumping
• Scar correction and acne scar treatment

Belotero Results 

Belotero results should be immediately visible. However, you will also see some swelling and redness, which should resolve within about 24 hours. During this time, you should avoid strenuous activity, consuming alcohol or direct sun exposure to avoid unnecessary side effects or complications. Gently applying a cold compress can help relieve swelling and tenderness. 

Belotero results will last between 6-18 months, depending on the specific products used. Your provider will explain expectations and help you determine a treatment plan for maintenance injections if you choose.
