Joy Makdisi, MD

Dr. Makdisi is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. She graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.S. in Bioengineering and then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, graduating with a Distinction in Research.

She has won numerous research and other awards, including the Dean’s Recognition Award from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has published 21 papers in well-respected, peer-reviewed journals and is the author of three book chapters.

Dr. Makdisi is an Associate of the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and has served on the board of directors of the California Society of Dermatology.

In her spare time, Dr. Makdisi enjoys hiking, camping, and cycling, and spending time with family and friends.
