For 30 years, patients have enjoyed Dr. Jennifer Childers’ unique blend of alternative therapies and traditional medicine. On August 30, she’s hanging up her stethoscope and Medford won’t be the same.
Dr. Childers, who graduated from Vanderbilt University and earned her Medical Degree from University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences, began her career with an interest in holistic medicine. When she joined Silver Falls, she brought with her twenty years of expertise as part of an integrative medical team.
From holistic medicine and wound care in Memphis to dermatology in Medford, and points between, Dr. Childers has served thousands of patients and their families during her career. She has been with Silver Falls for two years, and has been an integral part of our success in Medford.
The care of Dr. Childers’ patients will be transitioned to Dermatology-trained Nurse Practitioner Connie Hayes. “Connie is an experienced and talented provider, who I have worked closely with in this office,” says Dr. Childers. Most patients have been informed of Dr. Childers’ retirement.
While, we will certainly miss Dr. Childers, we’re happy that she is looking forward to retirement. “I am excited for this next chapter in my life,” says Dr. Childers. “I feel good knowing I will be leaving my patients in the competent hands of my colleagues.”
